Material examined. 1♂, LepsocAfrica CRG, Staude et al. (2016), M616, Gelechiidae reared on Kirkia acuminata , Kirkiaceae, Casketts farm, South Africa, Limpopo, Hoedspruit, 24˚20’36’’S, 31˚09’07’’E, 28.ii.2014 eclosed (A. & I. Sharp) (gen. slide 64/19, O. Bidzilya) ( HSS).
Biology. The larva was observed feeding on Kirkia acuminata (Kirkiaceae) in late January. Adult emerged 28.ii ( Staude et al. 2016: 64, 65).
Distribution. South Africa ( Janse 1958: 93).
