Type material examined. 1 ex. Holotype (NHM): card-mounted, “568”, “New Zealand. [red underline] \ Broun Coll. \ Brit. Mus. \ 1922-482.”, “Tairua. \ Auckland.” [in Broun’s hand], “ var. only . \ 567.” [in Broun’s hand], “ Veronatus \ Sharpi.” [in Broun’s hand].

Remarks. Described from a single specimen collected from Tairua (Broun 1880).
