Localities. Material. Observations on live specimens. Two whole mounts, one of which designated holotype ( FMNH KV.694), the other one deposited in the HU reference collection HU XIV .3.09.

Etymology. Species epithet named after the type locality in Doñana National Park, Spain.

Description. Specimens have an elongate body with a pair of small, bean-shaped eyes near the anterior end. Whole-mounted specimens are about 0.5 (holotype) and 0.9 mm (HU XIV.3.09) long respectively. The pharynx is cylindrical in shape and located just behind the eyes. Based on observations of live specimens and whole mounts, the general internal organisation appears similar to that of Orostylis dohae sp. nov., with two testes just behind the pharynx. The male copulatory organ is situated alongside the pharynx, in the anterior part of the body, with the distal end pointing anteriorly. The copulatory bulb contains an elongate seminal vesicle and connects distally to a sclerotised stylet. This stylet ( Figs. 3E View FIGURE 3 , 4E View FIGURE 4 ) consists of a corkscrew-shaped folded plate or “gutter” and is 74–94 µm long. The proximal base of the stylet is about 15 µm wide and bears an extension that is folded towards the anterior. As no serial slides were available for this species, it is not clear whether the male gonopore opens into the oral cavity, as is the case in Orostylis dohae sp. nov. No details on the anatomy of the female genital system could be observed on live specimens alone.
