Vernacular Names: Woermann's Long-tongued Fruit Bat.
Synonyms: Megaloglossus prigoginei Hayman 1966 .
Distribution: Guinea Bissau, Guinea, and Sierra Leone to Dem. Rep. Congo and Uganda, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko, Mbini), Gabon, Republic of Congo, and N Angola.
Conservation: IUCN / SSC Action Plan (1992) – Not Threatened. IUCN 2003 – Lower Risk (lc).
