Loxandrus vulneratus Casey, 1918: 390. Type locality: «Indiana» (original citation). Lectotype (♀), designated by Allen (1977: 286), in USNM [# 47354].

Loxandrus vitiosus Allen, 1972: 115. Type locality: "4 mi[les] w[est] Mineral Springs, Howard Co[unty], Arkansas" (original citation). Holotype (♂) in UAIC. Synonymy established by Bousquet (2006a: 151).

Distribution.

This species ranges from Connecticut (Krinsky and Oliver 2001: 102) and southeastern Pennsylvania to southwestern Illinois, south to southern Louisiana, southwestern Alabama, and central South Carolina (Ciegler 2000: 60) [see Allen 1972: Fig. 167]. One specimen simply labeled from Florida is known (Allen 1972: 116).
