A Brown moray, Muraenidae ( Fig. 2B View Figure 2 ), was observed and photographed by S. Le Bris while scuba diving on 16 Mar 2019 in the Cambrettes cove, Pomègues, Frioul archipelago (43.2621°N, 5.2904°E, Mediterranean Sea) at 8 m depth. It was observed in a deep dark crack. The individual measured ca. 40 cm TL ( Le Bris et al., 2019a). The species is uncommonly recorded in the Mediterranean Sea.
