Genus Stenocypris Sars

Diagnosis (genus) (after Martens 2001; Moonchaisook & Savatenalinton 2020). Carapace in lateral view elongated and compressed; valves without selvages and inner lists; valves surface smooth or striated in high magnification; posterior inner margins with strongly arched outline or weakly sinuated curve. LV overlapping RV. Septa present. Fused zone wide. Rome organ present on A1. Wouters organ absent. A2 with long natatory setae extending to tips of terminal claws. Mxl palp rectangular in shape. T1 without c seta. Basal setae (d1 and d2) present. T3 with pincer organ. Uropod asymmetrical, posterior seta absent. Males unknown.
