Echiniscus perviridis Ramazzotti, 1959 View in CoL

Material examined: One specimen (303 µm long) of unknown sex, collected at Lages do Pico, Pico Island, and mounted in Hoyer’s medium. The specific diagnosis is confirmed by the examination of a paratype kindly loaned by the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale di Verona.

The species is recorded from Europe, North America and probably Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. This is the first record of this species in the Azores.
