Genus Prolytta Kaszab, 1959
The genus Prolytta , endemic to southern Africa, was partially studied by Kaszab (1967) and completely revised by Bologna & Di Giulio (2002), who defined two groups of species, clarified some synonymies and described the first instar larva. Whitin the Namibian species, P. coricea and P. namibensis belong to the group of P. pallidipennis , endemic to western southern Africa, while P. pseudolucida belongs to the group of P. lucida , which is widely distributed also in southern and eastern South Africa
