Diplazium plantaginifolium View in CoL (L.) Urb., Symb. Antill. 4: 31. 1903.

Range: —Antilles; southern Mexico to Bolivia (LP) and Brazil.

Ecology: —Rare, known from only two Bolivian collections; terrestrial in humid forests; 1100–1800 m.

Notes: —Elsewhere, this very distinctive species is known to hybridize with several congeners, e.g., D. ternatum Liebm. in southern Mexico ( Mickel & Smith 2004, Testo et al. 2017).
