1. Leaf sheath and midrib glabrous abaxially. Inflorescence with peduncle glabrous and 7–9 cincinnal bracts. Pedicels and perianth glabrous, held at an angle of (20º) 45º–50º. Ovary yellow, glabrous. Staminode inserted 2.1–6.7 mm above the base of perianth, sublinear, slightly auriculate, 6.7–8.9 × 1.8–2.7 mm. Immature fruits yellow, glabrous. - Leaf sheath and midrib sparsely hirsute abaxially. Inflorescence with peduncle tomentose and 5–7 cincinnal bracts. Pedicels and perianth hirsute to very pilose, held at an angle of 30º–45º. Ovary red to red-purplish, pilose. Staminode inserted 5.4–7.4 mm above the base of perianth, auriculate, cuspidate, 5.8–9.2 × 1.4–5.6 mm. Immature fruits green to red-purplish, hirsute.
