Type locality: Gursy-Tasch River valley, Peter the First Ridge ( Tajikistan).
Published (original) locality: corresponds to data on the holotype label (see below).

Golbek leg.] // Halictus petraeus n.sp., ♀, P. Blüthgen det. // GoogleMaps Holotype <red label> // Zoological Institute St. Petersburg INS_HYM_0000046 .
Paratypes (6 ♀): 4 ♀, the same label as in holotype; ♀, [ Tajikistan], Syr-darja G., Talas-Alatau Ur-Maral Schlucht , 22. VI.[19]07, J. Baeckmann [leg.] ; ♀, Хр.[ебет] Петра Великого, пер.[евал] Гардан-и-Кафтаръ [Ta- jikistan, Peter the First Ridge, Gardan-i-Kaftar Pass], 1.VII.1911, А. Гольбек [A. Current status. Halictus (Seladonia) petraeus Blüthgen, 1933 .
Remark. Male unknown.
Distribution. Mountains of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Western Mongolia ( Pesenko 2006).
