Ectomocoris pretiosus Schouteden, 1931 View in CoL

( Fig. 2F View FIGURE 2 )

Material examined: LIBERIA: Bong county, trip Bong town—Fahn-Gbolo, 6°48′N 10°21′W, 9.v.1989, vehiclemounted net, leg. Rolf Garms (1 ♀) GoogleMaps .

Distribution: New for Liberia. Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Guinea, Sierra Leone.

Remark: Roughly 40 species of this genus have been described from mainland tropical Africa, only 12 of which were keyed ( Villiers, 1948). However, of those known from the region ( Villiers, 1963) E. pretiosus is easily separable. Its closest relative, E. leucodermus Schouteden, 1914 ( Democratic Republic of the Congo) is larger and darker.

Empicoris sp. near E. morstatti (Schumacher, 1911)
