New data.

2n = 16; bisexual reproduction with a Lecanoid heterochromatinization in male embryos. Complete ovoviviparity. Female reproductive system is similar with that in the previous species, but accessory glands are located in the middle part of the common oviduct (Fig. 2 View Figure 2 ).


The genus Gossypariella   Borchsenius, 1960 includes 4 species distributed in the Oriental region. G. siamensis   is the first species of the genus studied cytogenetically.
