1 Male tegmina ( Figs. 9a, c, e) very short, reaching to 1/4–1/3 of hind femur; pronotum ( Figs. 9a–d) quite smooth, without or with indistinct tubercles; prozona low with indistinct lobes; lateral projections of mesozona indistinct or absent; axillary 1 vein of male hind wing indistinct; axillary 1 and axillary 2 mostly fused in apical part in typical forms; male penis valves ( Figs. 9g, h) more slender, lophi ( Fig. 9i) with nearly 10 sparse spines in typical forms; known from N of Central Anatolia: Çankırı, Çorum, Kırıkkale and Ankara provinces ( Fig. 17) .......................................................................... inermis (Uvarov) View in CoL

- Male tegmina ( Figs. 7 –8: a, c, e) long, reaching at least to half of hind femur (mostly reaching to 2/3 of hind femur); pronotum ( Figs. 7 –8: a–d) with distinct tubercles; prozona high with distinct lobes; lateral projections of mesozona very distinct; axillary 1 vein of male hind wing distinct; axillary 1 and axillary 2 separated in typical forms; male penis valves stouter, lophi more than 10 dense spines ............................ 2

2 Male metazona short (4.2–5.7 mm) and narrow (6.7–7.6 mm); lateral margins of metazona straight, hind margin acute angular (Fig. 8a); male tegmina (Figs. 8a, c, e) shorter than 14 mm in typical forms; inner side of hind femur red with dark macula at base; inner side of hind tibia bright red; body smaller (25.4–29 in male; 33–40.3 in female); epiphallus small, its posterior margin with a narrow rounded projection; known from Ankara, Kırıkkale ( Fig. 17) ........................................................................ escherichi (Krauss)
