18. Pombalia jefensis (Todzia)H.E.Ballard & Paula-Souza View in CoL , comb.nov. ≡ Hybanthus jefensis Todzia (1989: 360) .—Type: PANAMA. Cerro Jefe, near Río Indio, 2100–2200 ft., 17 February 1968, Duke 15214 (holotype MO 1968501!).
The specimen 1968501 in MO refers to the collection J. A.Duke nr. 15214, determined by J.D.Dwyer in 1969. The reference of the collector in the protologue as “Dwyer 1969” is clearly a misinterpretation, and the correct citation is as above.
