Sinopoda tralinh View in CoL spec. nov.

Figs 47 View FIGURES 47 a–b, 65 a–b

Type material: Holotype: female ( SD 1150 ), VIETNAM: Cao Bang Province: Tra Linh , cave TR09, collapse chamber, floor, N22°48’48.2’’, E106°25’45.0’’, 20 March 2012, S.E. Marin leg., field number 214/12, ( SMF). GoogleMaps

Additional material: 1 juvenile with same data as for holotype ( SMF) GoogleMaps .

Etymology: The species name is derived from the name of the Tra Linh district in Vietnam where the type was collected; term in apposition.

Diagnosis: Females of S. tralinh spec. nov. are similar to those of S. semicirculata and S. mat spec. nov. ( Figs. 29 View FIGURES 29 a–b) in having the lateral margin of the epigynal pockets extending anteriorly of lobal septum, and fertilization ducts arising from small elevations on the bent posterior part. They can be distinguished from S. semicirculata by 1. all eight eyes small and without pigments (all eight eyes large and pigmented in S. semicirculata ), 2. space between lateral lobes and epigyne round (triangular-shaped in S. semicirculata ), 3. internal duct system fused along whole median line (fused only at anterior part in S. semicirculata ) and 4. posterior part of spermathecae bulging laterally (bulging latero-posteriorly in S. semicirculata ); from S. mat spec. nov. by 1. eyes without pigments (with pigments in S. mat spec. nov.), 2. glandular appendages short and straight (long and slightly curved in S. mat spec. nov.) and 3. fertilization ducts arising postero-laterally from small elevations on bent posterior part (arising postero-medially from big elevations on bent posterior part in S. mat spec. nov.).

Note: We recognized that S. tralinh spec. nov. and S. semicirculata are very similar and located close to each other (~ 130 km), but both species are cave-dwellers so the ability to disperse is strongly restricted. Also no related surface species is known which is located between the two caves. Therefore we consider S. tralinh spec. nov. and S. semicirculata as two species.

Description: Female (holotype): Total length 15.70; prosoma 6.80 long, 5.60 wide, anterior width of prosoma 3.70; opisthosoma 8.90 long, 5.70 wide. Eye measurements: All eyes are present but without pigments. AME 0.12; ALE 0.12; PME 0.09; PLE 0.16; AME–AME 0.28; AME–ALE 0.19; PME–PME 0.49; PME–PLE 0.50; AME–PME 0.34; ALE–PLE 0.42; clypeus AME 0.50; clypeus ALE 0.46. Leg formula: 2143. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 11.80 (3.50, 1.90, 2.60, 3.80); I: 33.60 (9.20, 3.70, 9.80, 8.20, 2.70); II: 36.30 (10.20, 3.90, 10.60, 8.80, 2.80); III: 30.80 (8.70, 3.40, 8.70, 7.60, 2.40); IV: 32.40 (8.80, 3.00, 9.00, 8.80, 2.80). Spination: palp: 131, 101, 2121, 2124; legs: Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–III 001, IV 000; Ti I 2026, II 4026/2027, III–IV 2226; Mt I–II 1014, III–IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.

Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma yellowish-brown with light brown stripes, anteriorly at chelicerae base reddish-brown. Sternum yellow, laterally brown. Opisthosoma ventrally and dorsally yellowish-grey without patterning. Chelicerae reddish-brown with one dark brown stripe medially. Palps yellowish-brown; Mt reddish-brown. Legs yellowish-brown.

Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long without anterior bands and slit sensilla. Epigynal pockets running from latero-anterior to medio-posterior. Lobal septum narrow. Lateral lobes fused without seam. Fusion bubbles situated posteriorly at epigyne. Internal duct system longer than wide. Spermathecae fused along median line and posterior part wider than anterior part. Glandular appendages extending not in posterior half of internal duct system, thickened. Fertilization ducts slightly curved.

Male: Unknown.

Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
