Material examined: CHINA: Sichuan Province: 1 male (SD 1659), Changning County, Bamboo Sea Nature Reserve, Meidong Town , Gaojin Village , Hulaodidong Cave , N28°18.478’, E104°59.134’, 703 m, 29 September 2008, Ren-Young Zuo & Yu-Fu Zhan leg., field number SCCN-08-206 ( SWU) GoogleMaps .

Description: Male: Total length 13.30; prosoma 6.30 long, 5.20 wide, anterior width of prosoma 2.70; opisthosoma 7.00 long, 4.10 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.28; ALE 0.47; PME 0.35; PLE 0.45; AME–AME 0.18; AME–ALE 0.03; PME–PME 0.25; PME–PLE 0.39; AME–PME 0.32; ALE–PLE 0.31; clypeus AME 0.48; clypeus ALE 0.41. Leg formula: 2143. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 11.60 (4.00, 1.90, 2.30, 3.40); I: 40.10 (10.10, 3.50, 11.30, 11.80, 3.40); II: 45.30 (11.50, 3.70, 12.80, 13.70, 3.60); III: 34.30 (9.40, 3.20, 9.60, 9.30, 2.80); IV: 37.60 (10.00, 3.10, 10.10, 11.10, 3.30). Spination: palp: 131, 101, 2101; legs: Fe I 322/323, II–III 323, IV 321; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–IV 2326; Mt I–II 1014, III 2026, IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior teeth and posterior 4 teeth on the left and 5 on the right side.

Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma yellowish-brown, posterior margin brown, postero-medially with transversal brown stripe, anterior part light reddish-brown. Sternum yellow with brown margin. Opisthosoma brown, anteromedially with longitudinal white stripe. Chelicerae brown with two reddish-brown stripes, proximo-retrolaterally with yellow spot. Palps and legs yellowish-brown.

Variation: Palp similar to S. triangula Liu et al., 2008 but with few deviations: 1. cymbium slightly shorter 2. dRTA wider and stout in S. triangula (SD 1659), dRTA smaller and in retrolateral view with margin in S. triangula , 3. tegulum distally with hump in S. triangula (SD 1659), in S. triangula hump not present and 4. embolic apophysis arising from embolus proximally in S. triangula (SD 1659), distally in S. triangula .

Notes: During the examination of a male of S. triangula we noted some differences to the type specimens described by Liu et al. (2008). However, we consider these differences as intraspecific variations.

Distribution: China, Sichuan and Guizhou Province.
