Sinopoda exspectata Jäger & Ono, 2001: 26 View in CoL , figs 23–25 (holotype male, CHINA: Taiwan Province : Yünhai , NW of Mt. Nengkao, Nant’ou Hsien, 24 October 1989, H. Ono leg., NSMT-Ar 4548, not examined).

Material examined: CHINA: Taiwan Province: 1 female, 1 subadult female ( SD 1589 ), Hsinchu County, Jienshih Township, Hsinkuang village , km 48, Road No. 60, 1800 m, mountain forest, epiphytes Asplenium litter, 25 March 2008, S. Vlt. leg., field number TAIW08 /4 ( MHNG).

Extended diagnosis: Females of S. exspectata can be distinguished from other Sinopoda species by the combination of the following characters 1. lobal septum narrow and without median indentation anteriorly, 2. lateral lobes completely fused without median indentation, 3. median part of epigastric furrow bulged posteriorly and 4. fertilization ducts situated postero-laterally on posterior part of spermathecae.

Description: Female: Total length 12.40; prosoma 5.50 long, 4.60 wide, anterior width of prosoma 2.80; opisthosoma 6.90 long, 3.70 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.23; ALE 0.36; PME 0.28; PLE 0.35; AME–AME 0.25; AME–ALE 0.11; PME–PME 0.27; PME–PLE 0.44; AME–PME 0.40; ALE–PLE 0.36; clypeus AME 0.45; clypeus ALE 0.39. Leg formula: 2413. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 7.80 (2.30, 1.30, 1.70, 2.50); I: 18.45 (5.10, 2.40, 5.05, 4.30, 1.60); II: 19.80 (5.80, 2.50, 5.30, 4.60, 1.60); III: 17.60 (5.20, 2.20, 4.70, 4.00, 1.50); IV: 19.10 (5.40, 2.10, 4.90, 4.90, 1.80). Spination: palp: 131, 101, 2121, 1014; legs: Fe I–III 323, IV 331; Pa I–III 001, IV 000; Ti I–IV 2026; Mt I–II 1014, III 2026, IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.

Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma brown, medially with yellow stripes, posterior and lateral part dark brown, posteriorly with transversal yellow stripe. Sternum light brown. Opisthosoma dark brown with yellow dots, anterior part with yellow short transversal stripe, medially with light yellow longitudinal stripe, ventral part light brown with brown spots, laterally dark brown. Chelicerae reddish-brown. Palps reddish-brown; Fe proximally yellow. Legs reddish-brown; Fe light brown with brown dots at spines.

Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long with two short anterior bands and one slit sensillum on right side. Epigynal pockets running from latero-posterior to medio-anterior. Fusion bubbles arranged medially and posteriorly at a longitudinal line at epigyne. Internal duct system nearly as wide as long. Spermathecae fused along median line, posterior part slightly bulging postero-laterally. Glandular appendages short, extending only in anterior half of internal duct system. Fertilization ducts long and distal part wide.
