Etymology: The species name is derived from the type locality; term in apposition.
Diagnosis: Males of Sinopoda inthanon spec. nov. are similar to those of S. longicymbialis spec. nov. ( Figs. 27 View FIGURES 27 a–c) in having an elongated cymbium, a long and curved embolic apophysis and an embolus tip with a small spike. They can be distinguished from the latter species by 1. smaller body size reaching 11.60 (17.50 in S. longicymbialis spec. nov.), 2. embolus with distal part nearly twice the size than proximal part (distal part nearly four times the size than distal part in S. longicymbialis spec. nov.), 3. embolic apophysis longer than embolus in ventral view (nearly as long as embolus in S. longicymbialis spec. nov.), 4. spermophore curved (straight in S. longicymbialis spec. nov.) and 5. RTA with tip of dRTA rounded in retrolateral view and proximal part of vRTA wider than proximal part of dRTA in retrolateral view (tip of dRTA tapering in retrolateral view and proximal part of vRTA nearly as wide as proximal part of dRTA in retrolateral view in S. longicymbialis spec. nov.).
Females of S. inthanon spec. nov. are similar to those of S. aureola Kim et al., 2014 in having the lobal septum with a distinctly continuous medio-longitudinal suture and median indentation on anterior part, but can be distinguished by 1. colouration with prosoma reddish-brown and opisthosoma dark-brown with yellow spot anteriorly (prosoma brown and opisthosoma reddish-brown with dark-brown dots in S. aureola ), 2. internal duct system with anterior part wider than posterior part (posterior part wider than anterior part in S. aureola ), 3. glandular appendages curved, distal part not spherical and extending posteriorly in posterior half of internal duct system (nearly straight, distal part spherical and extending only in anterior half of internal duct system in S. aureola ) and 4. fertilization ducts slender (wide in S. aureola ).
Description: Male (holotype): Total length 11.60; prosoma 5.80 long, 4.90 wide, anterior width of prosoma 2.90; opisthosoma 5.80 long, 3.30 wide. Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma yellowish-brown, lateral and posterior margin brown, posteriorly with yellow transversal stripe, medially yellow. Sternum yellow with light brown margin. Opisthosoma brown with yellow cross-like pattern anteriorly, ventral part laterally brown, medially greyish-brown, anteriorly yellowish-brown. Chelicerae reddish-brown. Palps light brown. Palp as in diagnosis. Embolic apophysis with distal part wider than proximal part. Embolus slightly curved.
