Sinopoda incisura View in CoL spec. nov.
Figs 16 View FIGURES 16 a–b, 58 e–f
Type material: Holotype: female (SD 1642), CHINA: Yunnan Province: Gongshan County, Cikai Township, Pula He just above Nu Jiang Road , N27.74878°, E98.66771°, 1474 m, 23 October 2004, G. Tang leg., field number TG04-03, ( CAS, CASENT 9031961 ). GoogleMaps
Etymology: The species name is derived from the Latin word “incisura” meaning “indentation” and refers to the deep median indentation of the lateral lobes; noun in apposition.
Diagnosis: Females of S. incisura spec. nov. are similar to those of S. assamensis spec. nov. ( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 3 a–b) in having lateral lobes with a deep median indentation posteriorly. They can be distinguished from the latter species by: 1. lobal septum narrow, tapering and without median indentation anteriorly (wide and with median indentation anteriorly in S. assamensis spec. nov.), 2. lateral lobes triangular (rounded in S. assamensis spec. nov.), 3. internal duct system fused completely along median line (partially fused along median line in S. assamensis spec. nov.) and 4. fertilization ducts arising postero-laterally (arising postero-medially in S. assamensis spec. nov.).
Description: Female (holotype): Total length 21.40; prosoma 9.20 long, 8.00 wide, anterior width of prosoma 4.65; opisthosoma 12.20 long, 7.10 wide. Eye measurements: AME 0.41; ALE 0.65; PME 0.44; PLE 0.63; AME– AME 0.24; AME–ALE 0.11; PME–PME 0.44; PME–PLE 0.53; AME–PME 0.70; ALE–PLE 0.55; clypeus AME 0.47; clypeus ALE 0.41. Leg formula: 2143. Measurements of palp and legs: palp: 13.80 (3.80, 2.60, 3.10, 4.30); I: 38.00 (10.50, 4.60, 10.60, 9.60, 2.70); II: 41.70 (11.90, 5.00, 11.90, 10.10, 2.80); III: 34.60 (10.00, 4.20, 9.60, 8.20, 2.60); IV: 37.60 (10.90, 4.00, 10.10, 9.80, 2.80). Spination: palp: 131, 101, 2121, 1014; legs: Fe I 323/333, II 433, III 333, IV 331; Pa I–IV 101; Ti I 2226, II–IV 2326; Mt I–II 1014, III 2026, IV 3036. Cheliceral furrow with 3 anterior and 4 posterior teeth.
Colouration in ethanol: Prosoma reddish-brown, posterior part with yellow transversal band, posterior and lateral margin dark brown, medially with brown stripes, antero-laterally dark reddish-brown. Sternum yellow with brown margin. Opisthosoma yellow with brown spots, posteriorly darker brown, median part with four brown dots, ventrally yellowish-white with few light brown dots. Chelicerae dark reddish-brown. Palps reddish-brown; Ti and Mt dark reddish-brown. Legs reddish-brown; Mt and Ta dark reddish-brown.
Copulatory organ as in diagnosis. Epigynal field wider than long with two anterior bands and two slit sensilla. Lobal septum triangular-shaped. Epigynal pockets running from latero-posterior to medio-anterior. Internal duct system roughly as wide as long. Glandular appendages extending barely to posterior half of internal duct system, short, postero-laterad. Fertilization ducts curved and long.
Male: Unknown.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
