Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Sanlong / 89.7”; (2) printed on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / ligoniformis / Identifier: Anxiao Deng ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / ligoniformis / (Deng) ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on a pinned slide. Missing parts: left mid, right fore and hind legs.

Additional notes: Holotype collected by Anxiao Deng at Sanlong village , Maowen County, Sichuan Province.

Current name: Botanophila ligoniformis (Deng, 1993) .
