Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “LeiDongping / 83.6”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia hemiliocerci n. sp. ”; (3) handwritten on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / hemiliocerca / (Deng et Li) ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on two slides pinned with the specimen.

Paratype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “LeiDongping / 83.6”; (2) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / hemilicocerca / Identifier: Deng et Li ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / hemiliocerca / (Deng et Li) ”.

Preservation: pinned; right mid leg mounted on paper triangle.

Additional notes: Labels of paratype pinned by Anxiao Deng, but the date of collection on the labels (83.6) do not match with the date in the original publication (84.6).

Current name: Botaniphila hemiliocerca ( Deng & Li, 1986).
