Holotype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “Jinding / 81.6”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / cercocerata / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (3) printed on red label: “ HOLOTYPE ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / cercocerata / (Deng) ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on two slides pinned with the specimen.
Paratype male with labels: (1) printed on white label:“Jinding / 81.6”; (2) printed with handwritten inscriptions on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / cercocerata / Identifier: Zide Fan ”; (3) printed on yellow label: “ PARATYPE ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Botanophila / cercocerata / (Deng) ”.
Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on two slides pinned with the specimen; right hind leg mounted on the first label. Missing parts: right mid leg.
Additional notes: Holotype and paratype collected by Anxiao Deng at Jinding of Mount Emei ; labels of holotype and paratype pinned by Anxiao Deng, but the date of collection on the label (81.6) do not match with the date in the original publication (81. VII) .
Current name: Botanophila cercocerata ( Deng, 1985) .
