Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Dachaidan / 23.VI.1980 ”; (2) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia / acudepressa / sp.n.”; (3) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Pegohylemyia / acudepressa / Fan et Ma S.Y. ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / acudepressa / (Fan et Ma S.Y.) ”.

Preservation: pinned; terminalia dissected and mounted on paper triangle.

Paratype male with labels: (1) printed on white label: “ Qinghai / Ledu County / 1900 meters / Chinese Academy of Sciences ”; (2) printed on white label: “Shijun Ma Keren Huang / Sanyang Fang Jieyong Wang / Wuwei Hou 1956”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ Pegohylemyia acudepressa ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ PARATYPE / Botanophila / acudepressa / (Fan et Ma S.Y.) ” .

Preservation: pinned; left wing damaged. Missing parts: right wing, hind legs.

Additional notes: Holotype male collected by Shaoyuan Ma etc. at Dachaidan, Qinghai Province.

Current name: Botanophila acudepressa ( Fan & Ma, 1984) .
