Holotype male with labels: (1) handwritten on white label: “Tianshui plum garden / N. 81”; (2) handwritten on white label: “Fan / 1981.7.8 ”; (3) handwritten on white label: “ P. setisilva ”; (4) printed with handwritten inscriptions on red label: “ TYPE / Botanophila / setisilva / (Jin) ”.

Preservation: pinned; genitalia dissected and mounted on slide pinned with the specimen; right wing damaged.

Additional notes: Holotype collected by Xi Feng at Tianshui City, Gansu Province.

Current name: Botanophila setisilva ( Jin, 1983) .
