Material examined

Holotype. Female, “ Bracon indiscretus Cam. Type, Khasia” ( OUMNH).

Morphology

Length of body 11.5 mm, of fore wing 10.1 mm and of ovipositor 9.0 mm. Antenna both incomplete. Raised median area of first tergite not depressed medially. Fore wing vein cu-a distinctly postfurcal. Second submarginal cell, robust, strongly expanded distally, vein 2-M 2.5 times longer than 2-SR. Hind wing with eight basal

hamuli. Base of hind wing with sub-basal cell largely densely setose and with only narrow glabrous area distal to vein cu-a. Vein 2-SC+ R longitudinal.

Colouration

Head yellow with small triangular mark on face above clypeus as well as mid-longitudinal stripe on upper part, frons medially and vertex and occiput black. Mesosoma and legs orange yellow except for mid-posterior part of pronotum and three dark brownblack marks on the mesoscutum and the ventral part of the mesosternum which is distinctly brown. Wings yellow with apical half largely brown; pterostigma yellow on basal 0.7, black brown distally.

Notes

This is the only species with the mesosternum distinctly marked darker than the mesopleuron. It is most similar in colouration to I. feliciae sp. nov. except the hind leg is entirely yellow. It differs also in having hind wing vein 2-SC+ R distinctly longitudinal.
