Description. Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 f) with wingspan 17.0–21.0 mm. Head yellowish brown, white around compound eye. Antenna with scape snowy white on dorsal surface, brown on ventral surface; flagellum brown with snowy white. Labial palpus ocherous brown, second segment with appressed scales, white apically; third segment slender, longer than second segment. Thorax and tegula yellowish brown. Forewing with costal margin nearly straight, apex bluntly rounded, termen slightly concave near middle; ground color yellow, with scattered brown scales, black along apex and termen; markings blackish brown, edged with yellowish white: humeral patch rectangular; costal patch at basal 1/3, outwardly oblique; median patch irregularly shaped, large, extending from below costa to dorsum, its lower margin about 1/3 length of dorsum; discocellular stigma nearly key-like, its anterior half expanded, posterior half narrowed; subterminal patch trapezoidal, its outer margin extending from costal margin to dorsum; narrow black stripe extending from before lower angle of cell along CuA2 to dorsum at distal 1/5; subterminal fascia yellowish white, more or less obliquely straight, followed by a broad zone covered with dense grayish brown scales; fringe yellowish brown, gray distally, basal line yellowish white. Hindwing brown; fringe yellowish brown, basal line pale yellow. Fore and mid legs with ventral surface brown, yellowish brown on dorsal surface, tarsus white with brown; hind leg with femur brown, tibia dark brown, white at apex, tarsus white, mixed with blackish brown scales on dorsal surface.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 a): Uncus broad at base, gradually narrowed to apex, slightly curved toward ventral surface. Gnathos broad at base, gradually narrowed to 3/5, distal 2/5 curved ventrad, conspicuously tapering to tip. Valva with basal 2/5 nearly trapezoidal, parallel sided medially; costa with basal 1/5 slightly oblique, concave medially; ventral margin almost straight; sacculus broad at base, narrowed to end, about 1/4 length of valva; cucullus covered with dense strong setae, triangular, straightly upturned, narrowed to blunt apex, outer margin slightly arched, ventro-distal corner blunt. Juxta nearly quadrate, straight on anterior margin, with a sharp-tipped triangular process on caudal margin; caudal lobe papillate, bearing long setae apically. Vinculum narrowed, slightly convex anteriorly. Aedeagus as long as valva, slightly S shaped, with four unequally sized denticles in distal 1/3 on ventral surface; cornuti being dense granules in distal half.
Female unknown.
Diagnosis. This species is superficially similar to D. cremnaspis ( Meyrick, 1905) . It can be distinguished by the valva with costa oblique basally and the juxta with one triangular process at middle on the caudal margin in the male genitalia. In D. cremnaspis , the costa of the valva is straight basally and the juxta has no process at middle on the caudal margin ( Clarke, 1965: 39, Pl. 19, Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 ). This species is also similar to D. causidica (Meyrick) superficially. The differences between them are stated under D. causidica .
Distribution. China (Guizhou), Vietnam, Thailand.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin acut- (acute) and processus (process), referring to the sharply pointed triangular process of the juxta.
