Diagnosis. The new species is similar to A. similativalvula sp. nov. in the shape of the valvae and phallus of the male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the dark brown forewings with an orange subtrapezoidal blotch, in the male genitalia by the dorsal process 1/2 the length of the right brachium, and the left brachium narrowed distally. In A. similativalvula sp. nov., the ochreous yellow forewings lack an orange subtrapezoidal blotch; the dorsal process is 1/6 the length of the right brachium, and the left brachium is uniformly wide distally.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 4‒11 ). Wingspan 11.5–13.0 mm.

Head. Vertex and frons white. Antennae with scape yellowish white, ringed with white dorsoterminally; flagellum pale yellow, alternated with yellowish brown on dorsal surface. Labial palpi white, second palpomere with black scales at apex, third palpomere with dark brown scales in distal half.

Thorax. Dorsum of mesothorax and tegulae white with yellow scales, tegulae with a yellow stripe on inner margin. Forewings dark brown, with black scales, except yellowish white with orange yellow scales at base and orange yellow at apex; yellowish white fascia at basal 1/4 from Sc vein obliquely inward to dorsum, edged with sparse black scales; subtrapezoidal orange blotch from between 4/9 and 2/3 of costal margin narrowed to dorsum, with black scales in posterior half; small black spot at lower angle of discal cell, beyond it placed some white scales; white streak from distal 1/5 of costal margin obliquely outward to termen; fringes yellow, mottled with white and black along dorsum. Hindwings and fringes deep grey. Foreleg greyish brown except tarsus yellow; midleg with femur greyish brown ventrally, pale yellow dorsally, tibia with pale pink-tipped whorls of bristles pale yellow basally, black distally, tarsus yellow except first and fifth tarsomeres white at apex; hindleg with femur yellowish white, tibia with pale pink-tipped whorls of bristles, pale yellow basally, black distally, tarsus with 1–3 tarsomeres yellow, ringed with white at apex, 4–5 tarsomeres white.

Male abdomen and genitalia ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 16‒19 ):

Male abdomen. Pleural lobes of eighth segment 2/3 length of valva.

Male genitalia. Socius with right brachium almost uniform from base to basal 3/4, narrowed from distal 1/4 to apex; dorsal process arising from middle, thorn shaped, 1/2 length of right brachium. Left brachium half as long as right brachium, almost equally wide basally, narrowed distally, apex rounded and excurvate. Valvae club shaped, narrowed to middle, distal 1/3 expanded outward elliptically, distal half with dense setae ventrally. Left valvella slender, rodlike, 3/4 length of phallus; right valvella reduced. Phallus tubular, rounded at apex.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 24–27 ). Apophyses posteriores 2.5 times as long as apophyses anteriores. Sterigma short and wide, irregularly shaped. Ductus bursae as long as apophyses posteriores, membranous. Corpus bursae subrectangular, slightly shorter than ductus bursae; entrance at posterior 1/3 of corpus bursae; signum absent.

Distribution. China (Hainan).

Etymology. The specific epithet of the new species is derived from the type locality, Ledong County, Hainan Province.
