Webster // Margin field/hardwood forest, in litter in entrance to Marmota monaxburrow (1 ♂, RWC).  Natural history. Specimens from NB were found in dung and litter at the entrance of a woodchuck burrow in a meadow, jack pine forest adjacent to a field, and a hardwood forest adjacent to a meadow. In NF, adults were captured in unbaited and carrion-baited pitfall traps in balsam fir forests and in rotting mushrooms in a mixed forest ( Klimaszewski et al. 2011). In ON, it was collected in a hedgerow ( Brunke et al. 2012). Lohse et al. (1990)reported the species from bear and caribou dung.
