KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 6–11 m, sediment suction pump, Acroporacoral grounds, 1 female(LC 3.0 mm), (both second pereiopods and left first pereiopod lost) MNHN-Na 17568; St 23, 13/11/09, 11h–13h, Choizil pass "Patate à Teddy", 12°40'56.91"S, 44°57'51.63"E, coll. KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 15–30 m, collapsed edge reef, 1 ovigerous female (LC 2.8 mm), MNHN-Na 17560.
Distribution. Typelocality Ternate, Indonesia. Also known from Kenya, Tanganyika, Comoro Islands, La Réunion, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Philippines, Australia(Western Australia, Queensland).
Remarks.The specimens agree with previous descriptions and illustrations. The specimen of MNHN-Na 17568 was damaged, its posterior margin of telson with normal lateral pair of spines and five long and robust spines and three long and slender spines which are shorter than the long and robust ones, two right dorsolateral spines are more posterior than the two left dorsolateral spines. The species was not previously recorded from Mayottewith certainty. The specimen of MNHN-Na 17560 was collected together with 1 ovigerous female of Cuapetes ensifrons(Dana, 1852)(MNHN-Na 17562), 1 femaleof Harpiliopsis depressa( Stimpson, 1860)(MNHN-Na 17561) and 1 femaleof Palaemonella spinulata Yokoya, 1936(MNHN-Na 17563) at Station 23. The specimen of MNHN-Na 17568 was collected together with 1 ovigerous female of Palaemonella rotumana( Borradaile, 1898)(MNHN-Na 17567) and 1 femaleof Periclimenaeus zanzibaricus Bruce, 1969(MNHN-Na 17569) at station 12.
