Tergites (especially tergite 2) bare or with small setae. Hind tibia lacking anterodorsal rows of enlarged setae. Mid­ and hind tarsal claws not bifurcate. Additional shared characters of species treated herein: Frons usually parallel­sided, with ten large setae in 2­2­2­4 arrangement, lacking dorsal interfrontal setae; with or without small setae (setulae); with finely reticulate sculpturing (as in Brown & Kung 2006, fig. 52). Foretarsal claws symmetrical. Wing vein R 2+3absent. Intersegment 7–8 usually with elongate, narrow, simple sclerite, although exceptions occur.
