Description.Male ( holotype). Body length 3.9 mm. Head and pronotum reddish-brown; elytra brownish-black, with slight bluish reflection; legs and antennae reddish-brown, tibiae slightly darker basally. Head nearly as long as wide, differentiated from short neck; tempora strongly narrowing posteriad, posterior angles absent. Eyes medium-sized, rather convex. Dorsal surface moderately glossy, distinctly punctate and largely corrugated, with indication of smooth, impunctate median strip posteriorly; punctures distinctly separated. Setation short, subdecumbent; few tactile setae. Antennae moderately enlarged in terminal third; antennomere X 1.4 times, XI 2.3 times as long as wide. Pronotum 1.4 times as long as wide, distinctly narrower than head including eyes, nearly evenly rounded anteriorly, strongly narrowed and moderately impressed (constricted) postero-laterally in dorsal view; pronotal disc evenly convex in lateral view. Surface glossy; antero-lateral margins minutely and sparsely punctate, nearly impunctate near procoxal cavities; disc more distinctly and densely punctate, especially posteriorly, transversely corrugate before smooth antebasal area; postero-lateral impressions longitudinally wrinkled, adjacent dorso-lateral surface rugose. Setation as on head. Mesosternum with slight median longitudinal bulge, vaguely delimited laterally by sparse fringe of short setae, and with short median carina posteriorly, bearing some longer setae. Metasternum simple. Elytra 1.7 times as long as wide, conjointly rounded apically; humeri distinct; postscutellar impression absent. Surface glossy, distinctly punctate; punctation double, setiferous punctures rather widely separated. Setation nearly evenly developed, sparser near base, generally longer and more raised than on head, decumbent; numerous tactile setae. Metathoracic wings fully developed. Fore legs modified ( Fig. 46); profemora with short tooth-like process, rounded apically, with short fringe of stiff setae subapically; protibiae nearly simple, moderately swollen, with slight angulation on inner side at about mid-length; penultimate tarsomere widened/flattened distally, with terminal tarsomere articulated dorsally near base in all tarsi. Setation normally developed; metatibiae with conspicuously longer setae on inner side distally; tibiae with two terminal spurs, unequal in metatibiae (median spur longer and more robust). FIGURES 46–50. Anthelephila davita sp. nov.(holotype ♂). Profemur and tibia (46); abdominal sternum VII (47); sternite VIII, dorsal view (48); prong of sternite VIII, dorso-median view (49); apical portion of aedeagus (50). Scale (0.5 mm): A— Fig. 46; (0.3 mm): B—Figs 47–50. Abdominal sternum III with paired, long, submedian carinae. Sternum VII moderately emarginate, its posterolateral lobes pointed ( Fig. 47). Tergum VII simple, widely rounded posteriorly. Sternite VIII ( Figs 48, 49); paired prongs lobe-like. Tergite VIII with simple paired sclerites evenly rounded apically, narrowly connected medially. Terminal sclerite of segment IX (spiculum) membranous and inconspicuous. Aedeagus ( Fig. 50); apical portion of tegmen 0.5 times as long as basal-piece, trilobed apically. Female. Externally differing from male as follows: fore legs and abdominal sterna III, VII simple; metatibiae shortly setose, metatibial spurs subequal; tergum VII subtriangular, nearly evenly rounded apically. Variation.Body length (♂♀) 3.6–4.5 mm.

Differential diagnosis. Anthelephila davita sp. nov.belongs to the A. fossicollisspecies-group. It shares a similar shape of the male protibiae with A. alamea sp. nov., A. arcana sp. nov.and A. bannape sp. nov., but differs clearly by the male abdominal characters. It differs from the sympatric and generally very close A. banhuaipo sp. nov.by the protibial angulation situated rather near mid-length (slight carina protruding more distally in A. banhuaipo sp. nov.), more prominent submedian carinae of male abdominal sternum III, by the pointed lateral lobes of the emargination of male sternum VII, and by detailed morphology and setation of paired prongs (cf. Figs 48 versus30).
Etymology.Dedicated to David Král and Vítězslav Kubáň (both Praha, Czech Republic), well-known entomologists, who collected this species and others in Thailand; species name composed from parts of their first names. Noun in apposition.
Distribution. Laos, Thailand.
