Li et al ., 2018: 527 A review species of the genus Ceroplastes (Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Coccidae) in China Wu, San-An Wang, Xubo Zootaxa 2019 2019-12-03 4701 6 520 536 T3Z2 Comstock, 1881 Comstock 1881 [151,686,620,647] Insecta Coccidae Ceroplastes Animalia Hemiptera 4 524 Arthropoda species cirripediformis  ( Fig. 3)     Ceroplastes cirripediformisComstock,  Li et al., 2018: 527.   Material examined.  YUNNAN: 16 ♀♀, Baoshan, on unknown plant,  6.xi.2012, coll. Xinlei Huang; 12 ♀♀, Mengzi, on  Duranta repens, 17.iv.2013, coll. Jun Deng, Xubo Wang, & Xu Zhang; 28 ♀♀, Puer, on  D. repens, 23–25.iv.2013, coll. Jun Deng, Xubo Wang, & Xu Zhang.   Distribution in China. Fujian, Guizhou, Guangdong, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Zhejiang( Li et al.2018).  Host-plants.  Conyaza japonica(Asteraceae);  Bischofia javanica(Euphobiaceae);  Cedrus deodara(Pinaceae);  Pyrussp. ( Rosaceae);  Hamelia patens(Rubiaceae)and  Duranta repens(Verbenaceae). Among those,  Duranta repensis the preferred host ( Li et al.2018).   Biology. The adult females occur on the branches of the host.   Remarks. This species was identified by comparison with Gimpel et al. (1974)’s description and illustration.  Ceroplastes cirripediformisdiffers from all other species discussed here from Chinain possessing clearly capitate dorsal setae. Its waxy test is similar to that of  C. rusci, but  C. cirripediformiscan be easily distinguished from  C. rusciby having an antenna with 7 segments and the dorsal pores predominantly trilocular (  C. ruscihas an antenna with 6 segments and the dorsal pores predominantly bilocular). 2462934795 [400,1331,795,822] 2012-11-06 Xinlei Huang YUNNAN 4 524 16 16 Yunnan
