Łagowska, Bozena Zootaxa 2011 2766 1 29 63J5Q 249411 Ezzat & McConnell Ezzat & McConnell [151,545,1158,1184] Insecta Pseudococcidae Paracoccus Animalia Hemiptera 4 5 Arthropoda genus     Paracoccus  Ezzat & McConnell, 1956: 37. Typespecies:  Pseudococcus burneraeBrainby original designation. The genus  Paracoccusis generally included in the tribe Planococcini, diagnosed by the presence of sclerotised anal lobe bars.  Paracoccusis almost certainly paraphyletic but, as presently understood, has a wide distribution in temperate and tropical regions of the world and now includes about 80 species ( Williams, 2004). Here we describe another species in this genus which is somewhat unusual in possessing enlarged dorsal setae. This suggests some similarity to  NipaecoccusŠulcbut we think it fits better into  Paracoccus.
