<spm:hasContent>   Remarks A few specimens previously identified by me as  L. politaappear in localities ‘out of place’ for this taxon and may represent  L. biarticulata. These samples are BIOFAR Stn 416 ( eleven specimens, IcelandBasin slope, 1038 m) and BIOICE Stn 2853 ( three specimens, IcelandBasin slope, 1840 m). The latter sample was the basis for the deepest record for  L. politain Bird (2001). Further study of these materials, currently at the Kaldbak Laboratory and IMNH respectively, would be required to validate the identifications, although the latter record is the more probable for  L. biarticulata.</spm:hasContent>
