In the Greek mythology, Eirene was one of the Horae, the personification of peace.   Diagnosis. Forewing length is 15–16.5 mmin males and 17–18 mmin females.  Cyana dohertyi eirenediffers from the nominate subspecies and C. d. mertsana(illustrated by Volynkin et al. (2019)) by its narrower and paler yellow transverse lines. The male and female genitalia of the new subspecies have no significant differences from those of the nominate subspecies. Compared to those of C. d. mertsana(illustrated by Volynkin et al. (2019)), the male genitalia of C. d. eirenehave the slightly narrower sacculus with slightly weaker distal process, and the slightly shorter band-like cluster of spinules on the largest diverticulum of vesica. The female genitalia of C. d. eirenediffer from those of C. d. mertsana(illustrated by Volynkin et al. (2019)) by the slightly shorter sclerotized posterior section of cospus bursae.   Distribution. Western Himalaya: Pakistan(Azad Jammu & Kashmir) and North India( Himachal Pradeshand Uttarakhand) ( Smetacek 2008, as  C. dohertyi). 2565941157 1976-04-12 MWM, ZSM India 1500 Bhimtal Kumaon-Himalaya 37 38 1 1 Uttarakhand holotype 2565941253 [199,1178,333,360] NHMUK India Coll.
