Distribution and habitat:— Brazil( Minas Gerais). Campo rupestre. Taxonomic Notes:—A very rare species, known only by a few collections. Easily recognized by the oblong leaves with a prominent and evident reticulate venation on the abaxial face. Similar to Eremanthus syncephalus( Schultz-Bipontinus 1861: 168) Loeuille, Semir & Pirani, which differs from E. reticulatusin its narrower linear to lanceolate leaves and lower number of florets per capitulum (3–4 vs. 5 in E. reticulatus). Representative specimens:— BRAZIL. Minas Gerais: Santana do Riacho, logo depois do Chapéu do Sol, 19°11’00’’S, 43°21’46’’W, 18 May 2007, C. F . Verola& I. R. Costa96/07( UEC).
