Emden, 1940: 229 Species of Coenosia Meigen (Diptera, Muscidae) described by Fritz van Emden from the British Museum Ruwenzori Expedition of 1934 – 1935 Couri, Márcia Pont, Adrian Zootaxa 2016 4144 4 529 555 WV6K Emden, 1940: 229 Emden 229 1940 [151,658,1157,1183] Insecta Muscidae Coenosia Animalia Diptera 21 550 Arthropoda species multisetosa  Holotype male seen; in good condition.   Diagnosis.General colour brown; scutum and abdomen uniformly brown, with no dark markings; frons, fronto-orbital plate, face and parafacial uniformly brown; postpedicel short, about 1.5 times the length of pedicel; arista with short hairs only on basal half; palpus brown; haltere brown; legs blackish-brown, a little shining; scutellum with four strong setae and without setulae on disc; anterior katepisternal short, lower one about half the length of the long posterior one; upper calypter very short; lower calypter whitish, about 2.8 the length of the upper one, strongly projecting beyond it; legs entirely black; hind tibia with an anterior and a very long anterodorsal seta; sternite 5 as in Fig. 98.   Male terminalia.
