        <spm:hasContent> This large taxon is reasonably well defined and conceivably monophyletic ( Couri &amp; Pont 2000; Kutty et al. 2014). Among the two recognized tribes, Limnophoriniand Coenosiini, only the latter is defined by alleged apomorphies. It was found that the great majority of the examined species representing 35 genera of Coenosiinaepossess the prevalent muscid state A4, in which vein C is bare dorsally and extensively setulose ventrally.</spm:hasContent>
