Abdominal segment VIII entirely covered with setiferous punctures, except a narrow medial longitudinal impunctate band; posterior margins of tergite VIII slightly protruding backwards, that of sternite VIII distinctly protruding backwards medially (Fig. 8-1A, B). Tergite IX symmetrical, connected mediobasally. Sternite IX symmetrical, with bisinuate mediobasal margin and distinctly emarginated posterior margin (Fig. 8-1C). Tergite X with subtruncated base and emarginated apex (Fig. 8-1D), in situbroadly exposed between tergite IX. Median lobe of aedeagus broad, large sized (Fig. 8D, E; Fig. 8-1E, F), basal piece without transparent, membranous medial-longitudinal band; basal bulb 1.13 mmlong; anterior portion short, tapered apically, nearly 1/10 of basal bulb length. Parameres symmetrical and thin, shorter than 1/3 of basal bulb length. Internal sac composing of four groups of symmetrical scales, central two groups 8-shaped, lateral two of four paired large notched structures.   Distribution. China( Sichuan, Shaanxi, Guizhou, Yunnan, Zhejiang).   Remarks.This species could be distinguished from its congeners by: 1) dorsal surface of head with round, deep and medium-sized punctures, interspaces between punctures 1–2 punctures’ diameter, which mixed with smaller punctures, mainly on anterior half, especially denser on frontal region; 2) mesoscutellum shiny, extensively covered with polygonal reticulum; 3) posterior margins of tergite VIII slightly protruding backwards, that of sternite VIII distinctly protruding backwards medially; 4) sternite IX symmetrical, with bisinuate mediobasal margin and distinctly emarginated posterior margin; 5) tergite X with subtruncated base and emarginated apex; 6) median lobe of aedeagus broad, large sized, basal piece without transparent, membranous medial-longitudinal band; basal bulb 1.13 mmlong; anterior portion short, tapered apically, nearly 1/10 of basal bulb length; 7) internal sac composing of four groups of symmetrical scales, central two groups 8-shaped, lateral two of four paired large notched structures. Although this species possesses quite similar external morphologies (Fig. 8A–C) to  Megalinus flavus(Bordoni), the differences of above points 3–7 could be easily found between the two species.
