Puhakka, Liisa Castillo, Carol Bordera, Santiago Zootaxa 2015 3937 2 311 336 6FWC5 Porter 1978 Porter 1978 [151,546,1049,1075] Insecta Ichneumonidae Epirhyssa Animalia Hymenoptera 17 328 Arthropoda species pertenuis   Male.Fore wing length about 11–12 mm. Headwith occipital carina present not joining hypostomal carina; posterior ocellus separated from eye by about 1.5 times its diameter; clypeus with a strong tubercle; lower face about 1.1 times as broad as medially long, polished with sparse setae. Mesosomawith strong epomia; mesoscutum with central lobe not overhanging pronotum, transverse rugae discontinuous and sharp with short sparse pubescence; mesopleuron polished, with scattered setiferous punctures; subalar prominence inflated; epicnemial carina weak, not reaching level of lower corner of pronotum; propodeum highly polished with scattered setae, without median longitudinal depression; submetapleural carina complete. Metasomawith tergite I about 4.8 times as long as posteriorly broad, dorsally highly polished; tergite II about 2.1 times as long as posteriorly broad, highly polished, tergites III+ highly polished.  Coloration.An entirely orange-reddish species.   Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from all other Neotropical  Epirhyssaby the combination of the following characters: 1) tergite I extremely elongate, about 4.8 times as long as posteriorly broad; 2) tergite II basally with wrinkling; 3) entirely fulvous; and 4) propodeum highly polished without a trace of a median longitudinal depression.   Distribution. French Guiana, Peru.   Material examined.  Paratype: Female ( FSCA)  Peru,Tingo María,  620 m., X-5/12-1964, C.C. This species is recorded for the first time from French Guiana. The male is described for the first time.
