Newly recorded in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island and the Maritime Provinces as a whole ( Fig. 6). Widely distributed throughout the USAexcept for northern New England( Beal 2003); in Canadarecorded from British Columbia, Ontario, and Québec(Bousquet 1991). A synanthropic species recorded as a minorpest in animal and vegetable materials; also in granaries and as a pest of insect collections ( Bousquet 1990).
