New cocalodine jumping spiders from Papua New Guinea (Araneae: Salticidae: Cocalodinae) Maddison, Wayne P. Zootaxa 2009 2021 1 22 3RJW 1560421 Pocock Pocock [237,459,499,526] Arachnida Salticidae Cocalodes Animalia Araneae 4 5 Arthropoda genus   Natural history.In our recent field work three species were found.  C. macellus( Figs 2–5) was found most commonly at 600 mbut as high as 1100 melevation near Wanakipa, Southern Highlands Province ( S 5.3 E 142.5). At 700 melevation in VarirataNational Park, Central Province ( S 9.44 E 147.36) were found  C. longicornis( Figs 6–9), and  C. expersWanless. Allwere found on large-leaved plants at rainforest edge or within the rainforest.  C. macelluswas found on  Pandanus, palms and native bamboos;  C. experson  Pandanusleaves within the forest. Shown in Figure 1are the species of  Cocalodescollected at sites in Papua New Guinea; the Baitetaforest site was collected by canopy fogging by Olivier Missa in 1995.
