Sowerby[third of the name], 1894). Pacific Ocean: from southern Japanto the Philippines( Kosuge& Suzuki1985), “coral reef in intertidal zone to  20 mdeep” (Tsuchiya 2000). New Caledoniaand Loyalty Islands, empty shells intertidal to   20 m.Southward range extension to the southwest Pacific.  REMARKS. — Protoconch of 2.6 conical whorls, 550 Μm high, 500 Μm wide at the base. Protoconch-I of about 1 whorl, eroded in the available material. Protoconch-II of about 1.6 whorls, with 2 spiral keels (the abapical starting early on the second protoconch whorl, the adapical starting at the end of the second whorl), sculptured with a series of subsutural prosocline threads and a series of oblong tubercules over each keel.
