Remarks.The Iranian population of P. vulnus(Pourjam et al. 1997)corresponds closely to the original description (Allen & Jensen 1951), except that the stylet is slightly shorter (14–15 vs16–18 µm). The stylet length of the Iranian population, however, is similar to that of the populations measured by Roman & Hirschmann 1969 and Doucet et al. 1996. All of them have only three lip annuli.
