Original description, female, keyed, map.   Agonocryptus rufithorax: Yu et al.(2006): Catalog.   Variation. One specimen from Capão do Leão ( Rio Grande do Sul State, southern Brazil) with orbital band faint, inconspicuous ( Fig. 11G-H) ( vs.distinct); prepectal carina reaching 0.85–0.90 of subtegular ridge ( vs.reaching subtegular ridge); scutellum with two yellow spots ( Fig. 11F) ( vs.absent); hind femur reddish brown ( vs.black); tergites mostly reddish brown with blackish marks ( Figs 11A–E) ( vs.blackish, submedially with reddish brown marks); fore wing apically light infuscate ( vs.hyaline); areolet about as long as wide ( vs.rectangular, wider than high); second recurrent vein meeting areolet at its apical or basal 0.4 ( vs.at middle).   Distribution. Brazil( Minas Gerais  NR, Rio de Janeiro  NR, Rio Grande do Sul  NR, Santa Catarina) ( Fig. 20C).
