Daugeron, Christophe Zootaxa 2010 2010-06-11 2503 1 1 61 44PT4 Walker Walker 1849 [194,523,375,401] Insecta Muscidae Musca Animalia Diptera 21 22 Arthropoda species vetustissima      Musca vetustissima Walker, 1849: 902. Holotypefemale, “ New Holland” [ Australia], in BMNH (  Pont, 1973b: 148).   Diagnosis.Fronto-orbital plates in both sexes silver to greyish pollinose; palpus dark, cylindrical at tip; proepisternal depression bare; scutum with the two black vittae on each side separated before suture and fused behind it, the scutum thus appearing bivittate after suture; sternite 1 bare; male syntergite 1+2 entirely black.
