<spm:hasContent> Remarks. The genus VilaiaChandrapatya & Boczek 1991was considered a junior synonym of DiptilomiopusNalepa 1916by Hong & Zhang 1996, Systematic Entomology 22: 323. Therefore, the species Vilaia euryaeKuang & Luoshould be moved to the genus Diptilomiopus. However, the species epithet euryaeKuang & Luois a junior homonym of D. euryae Chen, Wei & Qin 2003; therefore we propose the new name, Diptilomiopus japonicus, nom. nov.as a replacement name for this species. Our analysis shows that they are separate, distinct species: in D. japonicus, the prodorsal shield with median and submedian lines incomplete and two rows of medial cells; tarsal empodium each branch 6 or 7-rayed; tarsal solenidion tapered and female genital coverflap with basal granules. In D. euryae, prodorsal shield with median and submedian lines complete and three rows of medial cells; tarsal empodium with each branch 9-rayed; tarsal solenidion knobbed and female genital coverflap with three lines ( Chen et al., 2003).</spm:hasContent>
