PseudometabletusLiebke, 1930: 722. Type species: Pseudometabletus nevermanniLiebke, 1930 by original designation. Synonymy established by Erwin (2004: 22). Etymology. From the Greek pseudos(fallacy, lie) and the generic name Metabletus[ q.v.] [masculine].
Diversity. Seven Neotropical species, of which one reaches southeastern Texas.
Identification. This genus has not been revised in modern times and such work would be useful.
